Craftsmanship, accuracy,
and attention to detail are the hallmarks of John Dietz’s oil paintings.
His still life firearm works are reminiscent of the Trompe-l'œil art
technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the
illusion that the depicted objects really exist. The artist also
paints cowboys, Native Americans, and mountain men, and his depiction of
these subjects shows the admiration he has for them and their lifestyles.
